Project Description

Making its mark within Charleston’s restaurant scene is this 39-seat Spanish style tapas bar, which is full of design curiosities despite its intimate footprint. However, designing a space that would replicate the success of the brand’s first location in Washington D.C., while simultaneously translating the owner’s vision to another city, was no easy task.

“When people hear that a space has a masculine design concept, they typically think dark and heavy. However, masculine can also be light and fresh, which is what I think we were successfully able to accomplish here. Whether it’s the open kitchen or the giant bull portrayed on the back bar, each standout feature intentionally sets the tone and establishes what the restaurant is supposed to be about.”
