Project Description

GrizForm Design Architects was tapped by LaSalle Hotel Properties and Kimpton Hotels to renovate the rooftop deck at the Donovan House in D.C, as well as to propose a new design for the hotel’s lobby. The 2,455-square-foot rooftop has undergone a major overhaul in order to make the space a more sophisticated location for both hotel guests and Washingtonians. The proposed lobby, which included a lounge and a bar, would feature a similar design concept as the rooftop but with modern touches and a contemporary feel.

GrizForm developed a new roof deck design that would maximize daytime and evening operations. The design allows for poolside lounging during the day and poolside dining at night. Loungers, lounge chairs, banquette seating, and bar stools are available throughout the daytime while dining tables and lounge seating take the place of loungers on the deck during the evening.
